ARIZONA PRODUCTION UPDATE

Judge Adele Ponce has ruled against the Goldwater Institute’s lawsuit, affirming that Arizona’s film tax credit program does not violate the state’s Gift Clause. This decision represents a major victory for the film industry and for continued investment in Arizona’s creative economy.

While the Goldwater Institute retains the right to appeal the ruling, this decision marks an important moment for the state’s film sector. It reinforces the integrity of the incentive program and sends a strong signal to production companies that Arizona remains a welcoming and stable environment for filmmaking.

The Arizona Film Coalition will continue to monitor any developments, including potential appeals, and will keep stakeholders informed as this case progresses.
